The Troiareuke Seoul Aesthetic Cushion is the third and latest cushion from Troiareuke. There’s been a lot of hype around the cushion on Youtube and the blogging community. So here’s my take on the cushion!
The Troiareuke Seoul Aesthetic Cushion promises six things. Let’s evaluate these promises:
- Soft Finish
Lifting, Anti-wrinkle and Moisture
As my skin is still young, I can’t testify to its lifting or anti-wrinkle effects. But what I can say is that the finish is definitely on the dewy side, as a result of all the rich peptides and skincare ingredients blended into this cushion:
- Acetyl tetrapetide-11: Stimulates collagen biosynthesis in basal layer
- Tritide peptide-10: Improves collagen density and bonding process.
- Palmitoyl tripeptide-1: Stimulates fibroblast growth for collagen biosynthesis
- Palmitoyl tripeptide-5: Helps forms healthy skin matrix
- Copper tripeptide-1: Strengthens external skin layer and heals skin cell for regeneration.
- Acetyl Hexapeptide-8: A natural botox-derived ingredient to minimize wrinkle forming muscle activities.
- Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract
- Caulerpa Lentifillifera Extra
- Swiftlet Nest Extract
On my skin, I notice that I experience less moisture loss throughout the day. Skin remains supple and fresh for about 5-6 hours, before the grease and oiliness of my natural skin type begins to emerge. I recommend powdering the face if you have a long day ahead or if you have naturally oily skin like mine. This will help to prolong the wear time of the cushion.
As with all the Troiareuke cushion, the Seoul Aesthetic Cushion also comes in one universal shade. As my skin tone is relatively fair and on the yellow side of the spectrum (about ~ NC 20-25), I find that the cushion is a decent match. If I’m to be pedantic, the foundation is a touch darker than my neck but a bit of blending down the neckline easily solves the problem.
Coverage and Correction
Due to years of struggling with acne, my skin has been kindly left with red scars known as post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. Although now my skin is clear, these red marks have been the bane of my existence because I end up having to wear more foundation than I need to just to cover them up.
But with Troiareuke, I only need to pat the cushion into my skin once and about 80% of the redness is gone. I’ve noticed that more is less when it comes to this cushion. When I use too much, I notice that the effect can look slightly mask-like by making the skin look too perfect (unless that is what you are after!). As the coverage is great with this cushion, I don’t need to use that much product, therefore allowing my skin to breathe throughout the day. In fact, the coverage is so great that I don’t even reach for my concealer to hide my dark circles.
Troiareuke has formulated a great everyday foundation that takes away the guilt of wearing makeup. It is formulated with great ingredients that promises to protect the skin. Although I cannot prove that this is the case, it is better knowing that the cushion contains these sorts of healing ingredients as opposed to harsh chemicals that obviously have no benefits to the skin over the long term.
I do recommend the cushion and look forward to trying their other products!
